Pembina 55 PLUS Curling League
We are a senior men’s curling league (55+ and over) that has a well-established history over many years. Our philosophy is to have fun and enjoy the comradery, rehashing the game over a cup of coffee in the clubhouse, after the match is over. We are competitive but try not to get too serious. Life’s too short.
Regular Games are played Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1PM
Location: Pembina Curling Club (on the west side of Pembina Hwy-200 yards south of McGillivray Blvd.)
We have up to 18 Teams with each team playing 2 games per week, on a rotational basis
Curling Season runs from Early October to Mid-March
Our curling season consists of 40 games (4 rounds of 10 games each) with an In-house bonspiel at the end
Team positions (Lead through Skip) are determined based on a member’s preference and skill level.
Each Round, the teams are formed by the Draw Master using random selection . The intent is for you to be curling with different teammates each round. It’s a great way to meet the guys.
The use of a ‘stick’ for rock delivery is optional. Presently 1/3rd of the members use them.
You can either register for the full 4 rounds, or individual rounds; you also have the option of registering as a Spare.
